Rachel Marcotte is a registered physiotherapist and applies an evidence-based approach to all of her treatments. She graduated from the University of Toronto where she obtained a Masters in Physical Therapy. Previously, she completed her Bachelor of Science with a specialization in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa.
Rachel approaches pain through a functional scope looking at the body as a whole and incorporating manual therapy, soft tissue work, individualized exercise prescription and patient education in her treatments. She believes in empowering her clients by giving them the proper tools to help them restore mobility and function. Since graduating from physical therapy studies, she has obtained certifications in:
- Pelvic health for treating pelvic pain, incontinence and prolapse levels 1, 2 and 3 through Pelvic Health Solutions
- Introduction to acupuncture and dry needling through Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute
- Level 1 Manual Therapy certification through Canadian Physiotherapy Association – Orthopaedic Division
- Soft Tissue Release training workshop
